We kinda thought this might happen when we first saw the Asus Transformer Prime. The Asus device, which “transforms” with a detachable keyboard, is the target of legal action from toy-maker Hasbro. They’re not keen on their Optimus Prime and Transformers merchandise getting confused with the Asus tablet.

Hasbro continues to aggressively protect its brands and products and the specific actions we are taking today against Asus underscores yet again Hasbro’s willingness to pursue companies who misappropriate our intellectual property for their own financial gain.
Asus haven’t responded as yet. It seems like real life is repeating the film and TV series, although we’re not sure who should be the Autobots and who are the evil Decepticons. 🙂
