Ice Cream Sandwich arrives on the Galaxy SII .. and LG Optimus 3D

The all new Android 4.0. Bells. Whistles. Face unlock, a better UI, resizable widgets and more swipe interactions. The Galaxy S2 has now been blessed with the new OS, albeit via a bit of hacking and tweaking of code.

Mr Headless Dude shows the S2 in the video below (we should actually call him Ouverta)…


More below. Don’t all rush just yet. Although it’s working on the S2 and apparently on the LG Optimus 3D too, it’s in the very early stages.

    It’ll look quite different when Samsung add it officially. This hasn’t got TouchWiz 4 on top.

      Thank god.  The vast majority of SGS2 users would rather have AOSP, but you obviously know that.

      • I wouldn’t want to see the three buttons at the bottom though when I already have them on my device.
