Orange San Francisco II briefly appears on the Orange support pages.

Yesterday various sites reported that the Orange help and support site had details for an upcoming handset, Orange have since removed the page. This handset was the San Francisco II. The rush of excitement around the handset was because the original San Francisco (ZTE Blade) was one of the first devices that really took off. This was mainly down to the price and the variety of custom roms available for it.

Orange and ZTE haven’t really followed this up with such a good device. The Monte Carlo was not much of an upgrade and was quite badly locked down. So it hasn’t really took off as they had expected. Maybe this new device will be the one. Judging by the specs and comments in forums it already doesn’t look like it. No doubt it will be nice and cheap though.

So here are some screenshots acquired from the Orange site before they pulled the support pages. It certainly looks like a nice device but the processor seems to be the main thing people are outraged about.
