Apple have made iOS 5 available to the public. At 6:06PM I plugged my iPhone 4 into iTunes clicked update and away it went. Be sure to update to iTunes 10.5 before you try to update though.
iTunes 10.5 also includes the long awaited iTunes Match which has also now gone international after being US Developers only for a period of time. iTunes Match “matches” your iTunes library music to Apple’s server for streaming whilst your out and about. Forgot to sync that album before you left the house. No worries, Apple now has it covered.
Also going live earlier today was iCloud, Apple’s replacement for MobileMe. iCloud works well alongside iOS being integrated to help you keep all your content backed up.
