SonyEricsson CEO claims Windows Phone ‘isn’t as good’ as Android

Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg has come out publicly on why we haven’t yet seen a SonyEricsson Windows Phone that they had talked about, and it doesn’t look like we will see one any time soon.

In a rather damning interview with the Wall Street Journal, Nordberg stated that SE would not invest in platforms that were not as good as what they currently use – which is exclusively Android.

Sony Ericsson were supposed to be one of the launch partners with Microsoft on Windows Phone 7, but it appears Nordberg needs real convincing that Windows Phone 7 is worth using.

So Microsoft really need their Nokia tie up to work – Windows Phone’s future may depend on it.
