The Acer Iconia A500 tablet was released just a month ago but already seems to be doing well enough to warrant a 16GB version too. It’ll retail for around £349.99, which is obviously a little cheaper than the existing 32GB model.
The press release below shows Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) as the OS, with other specs including WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel rear camera at the front. It’s powered by the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU and has a GPU chip for fast graphics, 3D and Flash playback. It’s 13.3mm thick and has a 10.1″ capacitive multi-touch screen.
