Microsoft release a new mobile app – Only for the iPhone

Meet Microsoft Photosynth. It’s an application for creating panoramas by piecing together several photographs. There’s a set of desktop tools for “creating and capturing the world in 3D” which you can then share on Facebook or publish onto Bing Maps.

There’s also now a mobile application, but for some reason Microsoft have chosen to release this onto the iPhone before their own mobile OS – Windows Phone 7. iPhone users can upload their panoramic photos to Bing Maps and create “Synths” on the move. It’s available to download from iTunes.com.

Windows Phone 7 users will have to wait a little longer..
