Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and HTC Desire S – Camera challenge

Sony Ericsson tell us that they’ve improved camera technology. This new Xperia arc has a Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor that lets you “capture high-quality movies and stills in low light”. Well, tonight I was in the garage. The sun was setting and I was snapping pictures for my own blog. It seemed like a great test – snap the same shots on the HTC Desire S and the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc.

Would the Xperia arc live up to it’s promise ? Well, we should say in advance that the HTC Desire S has a 5 megapixel camera and the Xperia arc has an 8 megapixel unit, but see for yourself..

    Clearly (pardon the pun), the Xperia pics are far superior. Much clearer with better colours. I’m surprised how marked the difference is actually. You’d probably think the Desire S pics are fine until you see them next to the Xperia pics.

    Engadget are Iphone fans! the same with al the reviews saying things about the front facing camera almost nobody uses them! Sorry for my bad englisch!

    And HTC have always used cheap substandard tinny microphones so Sony ericsson is also far superior for video recording.

    Well, Sony is really known for it’s incredibility in the world wide. And the existing post really shows the incredible thing about it. And the existing information about Sony Ericsson Xperia arc really makes me crazy about it. Thanks for sharing some awesome thing.
