Verizon have launched a 4G LTE network over in the States offering super fast speeds, new devices and true internet on the move whilst here in the UK we have a good 2-3 year wait before we get to enjoy LTE.
Being a bit of a Verizon fan I went over to the stand to experience LTE for myself and their devices and I was very pleased I did especially as apart from going on holiday I would not be able to get hands on with these devices.
First of all there was a person at every stand with a single phone which meant you got some proper 1 on 1 time with an employee of Verizon who actually USES the products, they were very polite, friendly and full of information. The fact I am from the UK and was never going to be able to buy a product did not put them off they were willing to give a proper demo and show off what LTE from Verizon has to show. I even ended on a joke that I may have to move to the States just so I can join Verizon and 4G LTE.
Photos below are of the HTC Thunderbolt which will be on sale shortly, also the Motorola Droid Bionic and the Samsung 4G LTE phone (really… it has no model number!). This was a device I really was impressed with and the size, screen, feel and speed just blew me away.
Whilst not the busiest of stands it was the one out of the whole event I think I was most impressed with, design, information, staff friendlyness the whole package.
So if anyone from Verizon is reading this, well done to the team on your MWC stand from me!.
