No multi-touch on the Xperia X10? Well, it was a statement that got you guys a little hot under the collar. A while back Sony Ericsson stated that there were no plans for multi-touch but now, after reaction from users, they’ve been busy working on getting it working.
Sony Ericsson engineers have managed to tweak the firmware and driver software to get this working and hope to deliver an OTA update soon. It’s not quite perfect as yet, but the video below shows work in progress and the current plan is to enable pinch / zoom functionality in the browser and apps like Google Maps.
