Microsoft have pretty much stuck to their “holiday 2010” statement when asked about launch dates for Windows Phone 7. For anyone not in the US, that can be translated at the Christmas / December timeframe. However, in a recent video Microsoft CEO Kevin Turner has said that the new OS will be available to buy..
“October likely across Europe, November likely across the US”
He admits that it’s been “tough” but says that the “game is not over” and there’s again that committment to the next 3-5 years, “There’ll be 450 million Smartphones sold”, he states, and Microsoft want to be involved in a big proportion of that number.
