LG Introduce the GT540

LG Introduce the GT540 The LG GT540 has just appeared in a variety of colours over on lgblog.fr. According to theunwiredview there was a reference to it being named the “LG Optimus” but now the blog calls it the “LG GT540” or the “Swift”. It appears to be a budget touchscreen Android phone with a 3 megapixel camera, Android 1.6 and a Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU running at 600Mhz.

The official LG post also gives it a 1500mAh battery, 150MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for up to 32GB of extra storage. It has 3G / HSDPA, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi connectivity plus a 3.5mm audio port and FM radio with RDS. The screen is, as far as we can see, a resistive 320×480 3″ panel.

No info as yet regarding availability or pricing but we’ll keep you posted.
