Acer Windows Mobile range – Hands on

Acer Windows Mobile range Hands on Acer showed off their Windows Mobile range to us yesterday and did a demo of the P300 and P400. Both run Windows Mobile 6.5.3, with the P300 packing a sliding QWERTY. The P300 runs on a Qualcomm 7225 528Mhz CPU with a 3.2″ WVGA Touch-screen, 3.2 megapixel autofocus, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0.

The P400 is a little more powerful with a 600Mhz CPU, 3.2″ HVGA touch screen, 3.2 megapixel shooter with geo-tagging, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and GPS. Both of these have links to social networking sites and we were shown a rather nice streaming application which lets you listen to the music you like online. I liked the styling of both these handsets – the P400 has a glowing “Home” key which changes colour depending on charging or phone activity.

Both phones were very quick and you can tell that Acer are really pushing hard in both the Windows Mobile and Android markets. Get all the snaps here or click on for the specific images…
