Samsung to reduce Windows Mobile use

Samsung to reduce Windows Mobile use With Motorola now putting all their eggs in the Android basket, HTC adding Android to their range and Palm dropping WinMo, there’s further evidence that Samsung are about to drop Windows Mobile too. Telecoms Korea states that Samsung will use Windows Mobile in 50% of their handsets, dropping to 20% by 2012. Samsung are to use Android and their own OS to fill the gaps.

This again seems to show that the Microsoft model of selling licences and having rather high development costs, plus further constraints within the Marketplace system, are slowly damaging the success of the OS.
