Over here in the UK the Motorola DEXT is already available on Orange. In the USA the same handset is selling as the Motorola CLIQ on T-Mobile but Verizon have managed to bag a second Motorola Android device called the Motorola “Droid”. Verizon are marketing this by comparing it directly with the iPhone on AT&T in this TV commercial and on droiddoes.com.
The phone has been snapped heavily by boygenius who reckons it’s the “thinnest QWERTY-slider we’ve ever seen”. It has a sliding four-row QWERTY, navigation pad and a 5 megapixel camera with flash. It’ll run the Android 2.0 OS on a fast TI OMAP3430 CPU and has a large capacitive screen.
