LG GW620 Android QWERTY Announced LG have announced their new Android sliding QWERTY phone – the GW620. It’s part of a new two-tier Smartphone strategy from LG, with three new Windows Mobile phones coming in the next few weeks. The LG-GW620 has the usual social media integration that we’ve come to excpect from Google Android and a 3″ touchscreen.

Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG stated..

“The LG-GW620 will appeal to first-time smartphone customers by offering a new and different kind of user experience. Our objective is to provide a wide selection of smartphones to satisfy the diverse preferences of today’s consumers. This Android phone is just one of many smartphone models we plan to introduce worldwide in the years ahead.”

The LG-GW620 will be available in the fourth quarter in Europe. LG have also confirmed that 13 new phones will appear over the next 16 months using Windows Mobile.

Update – I forgot to mention, this is the LG Etna we spotted earlier this month.
