A few days back we spotted the Samsung Galaxy i7500 selling on the o2 site. Today we’ve received the .. err.. announcement that it’s available. Yeah, we know already, but we’re guessing that this announcement means that it’s more “widely” available, like in o2 stores etc.
The Android-powered device has an 3.2″ HVGA AMOLED screen, long battery life (1500 mAh) and slim dimensions (115 x 56 x 11.9mm). Other specs include a 5 auto-focus megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack. Inside a Qualcomm 7200A ARM11 CPU running at 528Mhz powers the show.

Samsung’s first Android™ smartphone (i7500) now on sale with O2
Samsung Mobile UK today announces that its Galaxy handset (i7500) is now available on the O2 network in the UK through O2 stores, o2.co.uk and O2’s telesales team. The Samsung Galaxy is the company’s first device powered by Android, giving customers instant access to familiar applications, as well as access to a range of ever-expanding services being developed for the Android platform.
