T-Mobile Germany launch the MDA Basic

T Mobile Germany launch the MDA Basic Viva ! Yep, it might have a funky HTC name, but T-Mobile Germany have decided to brand the Viva as the … err.. T-Mobile MDA Basic. A 2 megapixel camera, the TouchFLO 2D system, WiFi and a 2 megapixel camera isn’t to be sniffed at though, so we’re not going to call it basic.

A TI OMAP 850 CPU runs at 201Mhz with Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro up-front. You get quad-band connectivity (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) but no 3G. There’ also a 320×240 pixel screen and a microSD card slot supporting up to 4GB. It’ll cost €4.95 with a 2-year (!) Relax 200 Tariff. We don’t know whether it’ll be gracing any other country just yet.
