Ted Baker Needle goes on sale Back in September we told you about the upcoming fashion conscious Ted Baker handsets. Today the Needle is available to buy and is free on certain price plans. You can also benefit from the fact that Carphone Warehouse will sell it to you on a choice of networks. You may already be impressed with the size and style of this device and we predict that many will be grabbing the small purple device.

You may have seen this tweaked version of the HTC Touch in stores last week as they’re eager to catch the Christmas market. The Ted Baker Needle comes preloaded with some custom wallpapers and a different start-up animation. Get the full press release below.

HTC launches Ted Baker designed HTC Touch with The Carphone Warehouse

New distribution partnership to offer HTC devices through all 785

stores across the UK

LONDON — November 8th 2007 — HTC Corp. (TAIEX: 2498; “HTC”), the world’s leading provider of Microsoft Windows Mobile® smart devices, and The Carphone Warehouse today announced the availability of a limited edition HTC Touch™ designed by Ted Baker. The stylish purple incarnation of HTC’s successful touch screen phone will be available through all 785 of The Carphone Warehouse’s stores from November 1st, and marks the beginning of a national retail deal between the two companies.

Named the Ted Baker Needle, the handset is slim, compact and stylish and will be a smart addition to The Carphone Warehouse Christmas product range. The HTC Touch™ was the first device to feature TouchFLO™, the new underlying touch screen technology developed by HTC. Consumers simply sweep their finger up the display to launch an animated, three-dimensional interface comprising three screens with the frequently used functions; contacts, media and applications.

Users can surf the web with Internet Explorer®, send and receive emails, chat and upload files to the internet.

The Ted Baker Needle comes preloaded with a host of wallpapers, from flying ducks to cuckoo clocks as well as a tailored start-up animation.
